Happy Christmas

25 December 2005

Happy Christmas, y’all.

It’s been a lovely day here, doing not a lot. Eating good food, ringing the relatives, a lovely selection of presents given and received, and lots of time to chill out. All quite tiring in fact, so off to bed quite soon. Tomorrow it’s off to Bedford to see aunts, uncles, cousins and grandmother, and then on Tuesday I’m off to Derby to visit the Girl’s extended family. Back in London towards the end of the week, for New Year.

I’ll be posting again before the New Year; a few things to mention, perhaps a retrospective on 2005, and the usual stream from del.icio.us will all be happening before that. Enjoy yourselves!

Three.

19 August 2005

Tomorrow will be the third wedding I’ve been to this year. It’ll be the fourth for the Girl. The difference this time is that it’s one of my friends getting married – all the previous ones were friends of hers. And, as a result, in Scotland. This one’s in Essex, and I’m really looking forward to it. It’s a lovely couple getting married, for starters, and then there’s the chance to catch up with a whole host of friends – especially old schoolfriends who I haven’t seen for a while. So, all in all, lots of fun to be had, and a nice chance to get out of the city.

A few days off…

09 August 2005

Going away for a few days, to Scotland, for a wedding. And a great deal of rest, I hope, starting with the train journey; god knows I need it. On the way: reading, listening, scrawling furiously on graph paper. Lots of ideas that need translating into hard copy. As for what they are… wait and see!
